Poor neglected blawg

This guy hasn’t seen enough love lately, so I thought I’d start posting some of my slightly-less-boring lunches fo’ work.

6/29/10:  Sammich and fruitish things

Sammich:  turkey, Muenster, cucumber and green ranch dressing on 1/3 of a wheat hoagie

Fresh strawburries and some old skool black olives.  MMMMMMMMMMM.

Tastes like summer

Fresh pears and peaches with ginger, cinnamon, dark brown sugar and whipped cream.

I feel good!

bwah-nah-nah-nah-nah-nah!

Actually, not so much, because I had to switch to a slower Chem class to keep my scholarship.  BUT!  I can still have it, if I keep my grades up, so aaaay!

I’ve been slacking on my knitting lately, and I didn’t post my first bento….but it shall happen soon.

Oh yes.   Soon.

Anticipate!

I’m very excited for Thursday of this week (the 15th of November, if you don’t feel like checking for yourself) because one of the dining halls at my college is hosting an AMAZAZING GFL Thanksgiving dinner.  You may be asking yourself, “What is this ‘GFL’?” and that means you’re curious.  Curiosity is good.

WELL, GFL stands for “Good, Fresh, Local,” and it means that all of the foods being provided/prepared are produced, at least in part, by local farmers, bakers, ranchers, and all of those other enterprising individuals in the grassroots food business.  GFL also represents a level of deliciousness rarely found in the typical university dining hall.

Be excited.  This is going to be fantasmic.
